Freddy Groth

Hello!

I am Freddy, a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University-Observatory, Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich. My research focus are hydrodynamical cosmological simulations.
I implement Meshless Finite Mass (MFM) as an alternative hydro-solver in the cosmological simulation code OpenGadget3, analyze it's capabilities and study the impact of the hydrodynamical scheme in high-resolution simulations of structure formation.
In particular, I use simulations to study subsonic turbulence, present in the intra-cluster medium (ICM).
